With more than 34 years of history, the group began its operations with its first plant in Quito, Ecuador, in 1991. Recently, the group significantly expanded its operation in Brazil through the acquisition of Terphane in 2024 and Vitopel do Brasil in 2025.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What are personal data and sensitive data?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In this Notice, \u201cpersonal data\u201d mean information that allows us to identify you. Personal data may include your name, address, email address, online identifiers or your information to participate in a selection process.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSensitive data\u201d refer to information about racial or ethnic origin, religious belief, political opinion, membership in a union or in a religious, philosophical or political organization, data related to health or sexual life, genetic or biometric data.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is personal data processing?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It is any use made of personal and sensitive data, such as collecting, storing, accessing, sharing or deleting such data, in physical or digital form.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Data Protection Law<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Due to its global operations, Oben Group\u2019s activities are subject to the different privacy and data protection laws applicable in each country in which it operates.<\/p>\n<p>In Brazil, Law No. 13,709\/2018, the General Data Protection Law (LGPD), applies, which establishes the rules for the processing of personal data and grounds the preparation of this Privacy Notice.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Personal Data Controller<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Personal Data Controller is the natural or legal person responsible for making decisions regarding the processing of personal data, including the purposes and the means used.<\/p>\n<p>In the context of this Privacy Notice, Oben Group acts as the Controller of the personal data processed in its operations, being responsible for decisions regarding the processing of such data.
